There will be a scheduled maintenance for Cesium ion on Friday, December 30th, 2022 at 8pm EST (UTC-5). It is expected to last up to 6 hours. We will be using this time to upgrade our cloud infrastructure as part of some exciting improvements we will be announcing next year.
During this time, Cesium ion will be available, but read-only:
* Most client application will be unaffected. You will be able to stream your 3D Tiles tilesets or premium Cesium assets such as Cesium World Terrain and Bing imagery. * Creating/deleting/modifying assets, Stories, teams, tokens, etc.. will be unavailable. * OAuth-based applications will be unable to login to Cesium ion. * New account sign ups will be disabled
While we do not plan for ion to become completely unavailable at any point in the maintenance window, as with any major infrastructure upgrade there is always a possibility for small pockets of downtime.
The Cesium Community has members across the world, and in different work week schedules. To ensure up-time and stability of Cesium ion, and impact the least number of users, we are performing this upgrade during a known period of low traffic.
